There is an interesting concept about how thoughts and emotions interact with each other. Imagine that our brain is like a huge factory floor where thousands of thoughts are produced and processed every day. Emotions, on the other hand, act as filters through which these thoughts pass before they enter our conscious or preconscious space.

When we are in a depressed mood, our emotional filters are "colored" in negative colors. This means that the thoughts that seep through these filters are more likely to take on a negative connotation. We begin to generate negative conclusions and pessimistic predictions, even when there is no good reason to do so.

Over time, a dangerous feedback loop occurs: a depressed mood generates negative thoughts, which in turn reinforce our depressed state. We begin to trust these preconscious thoughts, believing them to be true because they seem to come from ourselves.

To break this loop, we need to recognize the role of emotions as a filter for our thoughts. Understanding that our current moods can distort our perception of reality can help us treat our thoughts more critically, especially when they are negative.

Practicing mindfulness and managing our emotions can help us pay attention to how we filter our thoughts. Try changing your focus and listening to the positive aspects of life. It can be a challenge, but changing your approach to thinking and emotions can help make your life happier and more aware.
